Matthew Murata Memorial fund

We are raising money to assist Matthew's family during this difficult time. He was tragically taken from this earth on April 9th, 2015. He was on his motorcycle  waiting to make a left turn off Highway 12 into his neighborhood, when he was fatally struck from behind by a car. His wife was waiting for him to return home from work and as it got later and later she knew something was wrong.

Matthew was a firefighter, an Army Veteran and an amazing man. Matthew had just married his best friend two weeks prior to this accident. Matthew,  his wife, Danielle and stepdaughter, Maya were planning their lives together.  They had no idea that their time together would be so short.

Please help us to ease some of the financial burden that his family is now experiencing.

A celebration of his life will be on Monday, May 4th at the Veterans Hall in Rio Vista. A plaque presentation will be at 1pm.
