Our Story:
For the last 3 years, I've had the honor of teaching singing to the most wonderful group of music students at Revolution Performing Arts Studio (Formerly RHC). I'm starting this campaign on behalf of the studio's staff. Our humble little studio has been serving Chino Hills and it's surrounding areas for over 5 years offering a variety of classes taught by a staff of passionate, talented, and caring instructors. All want is to do everything we can to give our wonderful kids, our studio family, the studio it deserves. We've tried our hardest to provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages creativity. It's been a tough learning experience through the years and like any small business....we've been growing as a studio and trying to find our groove.

Why do we need help?
Well, truth is we are struggling...we have been struggling quietly for awhile and we are at very VERY high risk of losing it all and closing our doors forever. Our staff is at risk of losing our jobs, but the worst thing is the thought of these kids losing what has become their second home. It breaks my heart to think we've failed them when they've been so loyal and loving. We've developed personal relationships with these students and they've made friends at the studio who are now like family...the thought of losing that is the most painful part of this whole ordeal. We put off asking for donations as long as we could. We don't like asking for money any more than people like being asked for money, but the situation has left us no choice. We will try anything and everything and we won't let this studio go down without a fight. These kids deserve better than that.

What happened???
In fall 2014, we had a successful full production recital and our students did fantastic. Our enrollment rate was at a high during summer (our strongest season) to prep for the recital. Unfortunately, our successful summer/fall program was followed by the most brutal winter in terms of enrollment. We lost so many students due to the holidays and the return to school. Enrollment was at an all time low, but we kept the studio running as best as we could for the students that remained. Instructors would continue to teach class even for just 1 student. The low enrollment left us struggling to keep the studio running. Thousands of dollars lost and we didn't have enough to pay the rent or utilities, so we fell behind in payments. As if that weren't enough, shortly after...we we're forced to cut our acting classes because we no longer had a teacher to teach it. That was a huge and costly loss.
We tried our best to raise the money ourselves and pull in new business through fundraisers and special events. We're finally starting to catch up bit by bit and enrollment is picking up a little now that spring has rolled around, but after months of partial payments just to keep the studio open...we are no longer being cut any slack. The landlord has served a threat of eviction. We must pay the remaining balance of late rent and the current month's rent in full or LEAVE and give up the studio. Frankly, we don't have the money.
How can you help?
Any donation, big or small would be greatly appreciated. All donations....$5, $20, $100, allwould help. We know not everyone is in a position where they can give and people have personal financial struggles of their own. We understand and if donation is not an option and we still thank you for considering helping us, you can still help by spreading the word about our campaign.
We have the most amazing studio manager, Jimmy, who has done everything in his power to build an honorably run studio. Upon taking over the studio...he has set the most reasonable rates possible, formed a new schedule with more class offerings, and better compensations for his staff at the cost of lowering his own. He sacrificed so much in order to keep this studio running, even took on a second job to help pay for it, and he is shouldering all the weight of the financial burden. Even if we lose the studio, the rent payment is still due and we want to help ease that debt as much as we can if it comes down to that. We want to help him as much as we want to save the studio for our kids and we want to make sure we tried absolutely everything we possibly could. They all deserve that much. If you could find it in your heart to donate anything at all, we would be so unbelieveably grateful. God bless and thank you!
