Mike Stringfellow - bringing sweet Grandma and Mom Home

My heart is heavy sharing this… Our sweet Grandma, my Dad’s Mother “Mike” Stringfellow has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. It’s incredibly aggressive, and the past week has been a whirlwind of hospital stays, hard decisions, and heartbreak.

I’ve spent the last week by her side in the hospital — telling stories, holding her hand, and reminding her just how deeply she’s loved and how much she’s done for all of us growing up. She was more than a grandmother to me — she was my best friend.

We’ve now moved her home for hospice care, where she’s surrounded by the people who love her most — close friends, family, her beloved dogs, and her cat.

My dad, husband, and I have been traveling back and forth between Colorado and Nevada since we got the news. According to her doctors, we likely don’t have much time left.
