Hi, my name is Kerry Stevenson and my dear friend Cara who is Married To Brandon and they have two beautiful children Sidney and Sierra. Right now, Cara’s husband Brandon has had to go to America for urgent surgery due to complications with blood clots. This is proving to be a really tough time for the family, especially with the family in Australia and Brandon on his own in America. They would never reach out for help but I know how tough they’re doing it

In the past year alone, Brandon Kelley has undergone over ten surgeries, all stemming from complications related to a severe motorcycle accident in 2003. While he miraculously survived the accident, which included a severed femoral artery, the subsequent years were relatively stable, with a bypass and blood thinners effectively managing his blood flow. However, in August 2022, the bypass became infected and completely occluded, necessitating emergency surgery to replace it. Since then, Brandon has faced a relentless series of blood clots in the new bypass. Despite numerous medical interventions, including medication adjustments, scar tissue removal, stenting, and muscle flaps, the clots continue to occur, and the underlying cause remains unknown. The uncertainty of when or if another clot will form weighs heavily on Brandon and his family.

Adding to the strain of Brandon's health challenges, his wife, Cara, and their two young children, Sidney (6) and Sierra (4), are currently in Australia, while Brandon is receiving treatment in Denver, USA. This extended separation has created immense emotional hardship and unexpected financial burdens. The constant surgeries and recovery periods have significantly impacted Brandon's ability to work as a personal trainer, resulting in lost income. The travel expenses associated with the family's separation, coupled with the added pressure on friends and family to provide support, have further compounded the financial strain. Cara is juggling full-time work with the added emotional and practical responsibilities of raising two young children without her partner.
