UPDATE from the Tucker family: It is with a very broken heart, that I come on today, to let our family and friends know... That at 10:56am this morning, our dear and loving son, Connor, gained his angel wings and went to the waiting and open loving arms of our loving Lord up in heaven. Connor, you are free now, my love, and your pain and your suffering are gone, and you are now our loving and precious Angel up above. Rest in peace, our dear son, and this is not goodbye, my love. It's only until we see you again. And I, will forever, look forward to that day. We love you, Connor, so very much. We will hold you in our thoughts, and in our hearts, every single day. Missing you beyond words already, my love. Until we see you again, my sweet, sweet son.

On October 2, 2023, Tom and Alicia Tucker's oldest child Connor, was very critically injured when he was struck by a car while walking with a friend. Connor sustained devastating injuries, including a very severe traumatic brain injury, among many others. Yesterday Alicia shared the heartbreaking news, that after an excruciating three months, and Connor fighting as hard as his body would allow, his devastating injuries and resulting complications from this accident, have finally been too much for him. Connor's family has had to make the gut wrenching decision to place Connor into hospice care. They are beyond devastated, as they now have only precious moments left with their loving son. The following is a portion of her message that Alicia has shared:

Connor, you have fought a brave fight, my love, but I know that your body is tired now. Your dad and I, your brothers and sister, and your loved ones of family and friends, are all truly beyond proud of you, Connor, and we know you will soon be once again renewed in heaven now, if this is what God has chosen, as you have asked God for you to be saved, and took God into your heart. I don't know why this happened to you, my love, but always know that your dad and I are beyond blessed to have had you in our lives, and for the time that we have been able to have with you. You saved me, my son, and I will always be thankful, and blessed, that God chose me to be your mom, and that Tom was chosen to be your dad. We all love you, Connor, so very very much. It's time to rest now, my love, and always know and remember, that we all love you, God has you now, and you will be forever our precious son....Forever, and for always. We love you.

If you do not know the Tuckers, they are a family dedicated to serving others both at home, and abroad. Tom served both in the Navy and the Marine Corps, until 2013, and is currently a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard with multiple deployments under his belt. Tom is a dedicated, and loving father, who puts his family first. Tom also works in the civilian sector as an electronics technician. His wife, Alicia, is a busy mom of four, who runs her own daycare business from home. Alicia has a heart of gold. She is without question, one of the kindest, most generous people I know. She is steadfast in her faith, and remains positive, even in the most difficult situations. Alicia has been a tremendous blessing to many families in our community over the last 7 years, providing dependable, loving, and affordable child care. However, since Connors' accident, she has been unable to work, and they are now down to one income. It is my hope that you will please consider making a donation to help this wonderful family, to help them be able to cover some of the costs for Connor’s funeral, and to ease their financial burden in their time of need. Thank you.
