Peggy Cain Memorial

Ms. Peggy Cain was a force of nature and an idol in the community of Washington Heights. For well over 40 years she worked as an NYPD School Crossing Guard in the borough of Manhattan on the corner of 174th Street and Broadway.  Sadly at the time of her death she had no blood relatives to claim her body and offer her a proper send off.  Her extended family made up of over hundreds of members from the community that she served and her co-workers members of the local 33rd and 34th Precincts expressed a desire to pay proper respects to this lovely soul and petition to keep her memory alive.  Money collected will be used for memorial services and a scholarship for children to enroll to the P.O. Michael Buzeck Little League in her name.
