Celebrating the beloved Alaina aka Kat Sweet

I’m Irene, Alaina’s only sister. I am truly blessed by feeling your love with outpouring support, heartfelt messages, and prayers.

Here’s a glimpse of Alaina’s life for the past year: In July of 2020, Alaina fought Covid. In October 2020, she experienced an ugly foot infection that nearly had her foot amputated. Finally, in February 2021, Alaina was diagnosed with stage-3 ovarian cancer. By the end of March, Alaina underwent surgery. The doctors removed a 6x6 inch mass found in her abdomen along with a full hysterectomy. Alaina spent 13 days in the hospital for observation. When Alaina decided to move forward with chemo, she then received the news the cancer had metastasized to her liver and lung. The last couple of weeks of Hospice Care we’re provided by my Uncle Oscar, Aunt Alice, the rest of their beautiful household along with the the kindhearted souls that stopped by to visit and assist.

It’s reassuring to know, you now have eternal peace with mom and dad.
