Hey everyone! As some of you know, we have been trying to treat Sven (my 5 year old cat) for diabetes without much luck lowering his glucose levels. Unfortunately this past Friday he got very sick. He was at a local vet hospital for a few days and yesterday we transferred him to a larger vet hospital. It turns out that my chonky mans has Pancreatitis. Right now he is not in the clear and there is room for things to turn worse. The doctor does however believe that it is very much worth the treatments and if all goes well he can make a full recovery and live a medicated, yet normal and healthy life. With the severity of his condition it is going to require him to be in the hospital for more than a few days which is worth it but… pricy to say the least. With all of that being said, any and all financial help would be more than appreciated.
I hate asking for help and understand that being a pet owner comes with these financial burdens and responsibilities. Please know that I am going to do everything in my power to take them on. I do plan on busting my butt to pay off these bills, but at the end of the day every little bit helps. I know it’s tough times out here, I am already thankful and grateful for any dollar that is contributed.
Anyone who has met Sven can tell you that he is the sweetest, goofiest, mush head. He was named after Sven from the movie Frozen and has truly embraced the same personality. He was adopted with his brother, Sully who as also taken on the personality of who he was named after, Sully from Monsters Inc. They are not litter mates but the are a bonded pair who were born in a shelter together. Both Sully and I are missing Sven big time and can not wait to have him home to snuggle with us!
*All money raised is going directly to the vet bills. If the bill turns out to come in lower than quoted (goal amount is the low end of what I was quoted from the vet hospital) and there is any extra money raised, it will be donated to local animal rescue organizations.*
*Vet update from 4/19- (one night at the larger hospital) Sven is not out of the woods yet, but in a very expected place in his treatments. Vitals look good and he is taking their method of feeding well.
