Svalbard the land where nobody dies

Donation protected

We are a 4-piece art collective, involved in music,
theatre and video-making: Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo
(musician), Giordano Vincenzo Amato (playwright),
Omar Bovenzi (videomaker / photographer) and Paul
Beauchamp (musician / sound engineer). From the 17th to the 29th of March 2018 we will go to Spitsbergen, the largest and only permanently populated island of the Svalbard archipelago in northern Norway, to shoot a short documentary / art movie featuring renowned visual artist and performer Gianni Colosimo and make some fields recordings and collaborate with local musicians to produce a unique piece of work that will be presented as a live music / video / theatre piece show to be premiered at the National Film Museum in Torino, Italy in September 2018 and as full length album, focusing on the stunning geography and peculiarities of this island in the Arctic Ocean at 12 degrees latitude from the North Pole where humans are outnumbered by polar bears, where the plant seeds from all over the world are stored under the permafrost, where there are no armies and where you cannot be buried. Also one of the areas on Earth most affected by global warming.
We are asking you to help us cover the costs involved in
order to come up with the best possible piece of work of
social / ecological / political / human exploration from an
art perspective, to be shared as a musical album, a
short film, a theatre piece and a concert.

Thanks for your support!
