I’m reaching out today on behalf of a dear friend who is a nurse and single mom, experienced something no one ever expects right before the holidays. While she was out of town, an electrical fire broke out in her bedroom closet, damaging her home and leaving her without a safe place to live. Thankfully, her and her son are physically okay — but the emotional and financial impact has been overwhelming.

Right now, she’s facing the immediate challenge of finding temporary housing while her home is being assessed and repaired. We’re trying to raise funds to help her cover the cost of renting a place in the meantime, replacing essential items, and getting back on her feet after this unexpected disaster.
