Suzy's Hope for ALS treatment

Hey there family and friends! As many of you know, my sister Suzy has been diagnosed with ALS. This summer her symptoms progressed, but she was able to find a treatment regimen that has alot of promise. That being said it is quite an expense and the majority of this course of care is self-pay (non-insurance). In addition to medical costs, she will have travel and accommodations, as she is able. If you don't know much about ALS/Lou Gehrigs disease, it is a nervous system disease in which nerves breakdown causing progressive muscle weakness and impacts physical function. Suzy's goal and hope with this treatment is that progression be slowed or ultimately stopped; and more importantly, muscle function and strength be regained. The regimen, if successful as results have shown, is for life, essentially. So her need is not just for the present but the future ahead. She has had some assistance in the past, and we sincerely appreciate everyone who has given, but we now need to reset her care goals.
