In April of 2018, I made a very conscious decision to recapture my mental and physical wellbeing. It was three years to the day of losing my daughter, Brenna unexpectedly at the age of 18. It was truly a life or death decision, and I chose life, to honor my daughter in Heaven, and my 3 daughters here on earth.
Fast forward 15 months, and my life is drastically different from the 3 years prior I spent as a recluse, hiding in my own darkness, trying to eat my heartbreak and pain away.
My return to the gym after a 20+ year hiatus, has reignited my passion as a competitive athlete!!! Almost 90 pounds down, my body began to heal itself, so has my mind and spirit!! The competitive juices have been flowing, and at 44 years young, I’m ready to throw my hat back in the ring!!!
On October 19th, I am competing in my first ever bodybuilding competition in the True Novice/Masters Bikini Categories!!! I’m so new to this sport, and have no formal sponsorships whatsoever–which is why I am reaching out to all of you for help. I’m a middle aged, average gal with below average means, and cannot fulfill my dream of stepping on stage, AND WINNING in October without you.
This is a VERY expensive sport for someone like me. If you choose to sponsor me, your funds will go to: My Coach (4x NPC Champion Annie Boatright @bikiniiron ), NPC Card, NPC Entry Fees-2 categories, Competition: Suit, shoes, and accessories. Tanning, Posing Coach, travel costs and lodging.
I have taken on a third job to offset these costs, as well as meals/food during prep, supplements, and gym fees.
My dream to compete on stage, began over a year ago, and here we are, 9 days away from making it a reality!!! I have dedicated THOUSANDS of hours to my training and nutrition in preparation for The NPC Night of Champions, Spokane. It is not my goal to show up, just to say I did. My goal is to WIN and show the world, it is never too late to fight for, and believe in yourself.
If you are unable to help monetarily, please know it’s okay!! Your words of support and encouragement are priceless right now, because make no mistake, this is the hardest thing I will ever put myself through mentally and physically!!!
