Suzie B’s Secret Scottish Adventure

THE IDEA!
If you are here, you will have no doubt met the legend that is Suzie B (My mum!) or know just how much of a inspirational hero she is and how much she means to me and what she is going through....Thats why I am planning to take her on a secret trip of a lifetime in April next year! My plan is to go on a trip of the Scottish Highlands, long as mum is well and Covid doesn't ground us. We will be doing the North Coast 500 around Scotland, starting in Oban to break the journey.
So for those that don't know, lets start at the beginning...
When I was born, I had Mild Cerebral Palsy. I would go through about 11 pairs of school pants in one primary school term, and who was there to support me through this - my mum, Suzie B!
She brought me up to be the guy I am today and she has helped not only me but a lot of people including family and friends close to both of us; providing a safe place to hang out or even just a sofa to sleep on...(So many of you know how comfy my sofa is and the Suzie B buffets are something to behold!)
..........Now I want to give back!
A few years ago, our lives changed when Mum got the devasting news that she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was only expected to live 3 months. Since then, she has battled through various secondary cancers in different places around her body and is fighting the best she can, but as the specialist originally said, it will eventually kill her...
She always says she is living for me, and she has too much to live for, so I want to do something for her that will blow her mind and surprise Mum like never before!
The last few years have took its toll and, due to treatment, she has missed out on birthday meals out and Christmas outings due to lack of self esteem and what people will think of her, so I want to make this birthday a extra special one!
Please give what you can to help. I know it is a extremely hard time, with Covid and people losing their jobs, so only donate what you can afford to.
Your Contributions would help pay for the following:
- Accommodation costs - Currently around £1800 for the 13 nights.
- Fuel costs - £200 roughly
- Activites - I am in the process of planning these in, but around £500...
If you can't afford to help but want to help in another way, or want to just send us a little message and keep updated with the trip, that is fine too. I have a little group on fb set up for updates, as well as updating here.
I will be posting updates every so often along with daily updates when we are on the trip itself. I am also going to make a little movie of the trip as well.
Mum wouldn't want to be asking for help, so I will be putting who each kind donation is from and grouping it together and showing her each time it is used. Feel free to put a little message with the donation so she knows who it is coming from.
Thanks for reading this and thanks in advance for your help - It really does mean the world and will help me give her the trip of her life!
