Suzi’s children are blessed to have so many friends & family asking “how can we help? What can we do? Have you set up a fund for the girls?” And so, this fund was born…and out of darkness, there is light.
Suzi was devoted to her children, but also to her community - friend or stranger - because she knew how true the sentiment “it takes a village” is…and any mom or dad in need of support in difficult times had a place at Suzi’s table. Suzi made sure her children, and her village, knew they were loved, special, and never alone, even if it meant she went without. Suzi’s personal struggles were often last in line in the order of importance in her daily life, instead focusing her energy on coparenting her brilliant, beautiful, and kind, daughters, Kirsten and Molly, snuggling with their cats, Martini & George, and supporting her village, both near and far.
Whatever generosity is bestowed upon the family by way of this fund shall be used by their now unexpectedly full-time single-parent, Paul, to help with present expenses, and to offset the girls’ current and anticipated college expenses.
The Miller, Baehrel, Geuder, & Speranza, families are overwhelmed by the messages of love and support and beautiful tributes to their mother, coparent, sister, aunt, cousin, and daughter, Suzanne, who so many adored. And after 31 years of friendship, though I miss hearing Suzi say “you got this!” and “super awesome day!” to Dolly & Monk, me & Thomas Noah, and all her loved ones in need of a pep talk, I have no doubt that she is at a heavenly lakefront campground with her beloved father, Peter, who passed when Suzi was only 17, and they’re watching very closely, imperceptibly guiding us with their love and light, to make sure for her girls that, yes, together, ‘we got this’.
With gratitude,
Lori
