Sarah (Farifteh) and I met in grade 5... 26 years ago. Sarah is my dear friend and soul sister. She is 36 years old and happily married to her husband Rob. They have two adorable children, Ryan (3) and Maya (almost 2). Sarah is a wife, mother, daughter, an incredible human and an absolute warrior. She is truly remarkable.
Sarah has been battling with Chronic Kidney Disease for the past 13 years of her life. She is now living with end stage renal disease and both of her kidneys are failing. She is in need of an immediate kidney transplant. Sarah decided to share her story on FB in hopes that a miracle will happen and someone out there would save her life...
That miracle has happened and her name is Suzette. Suzette is saving Sarah’s life! Sarah and Suzette met many years ago at the YMCA working as early childhood educators. Sarah had moved to a different location and her and Suzette hadn’t spoken in years. They had remained friends through Facebook where Suzette read Sarah’s story.
Suzette came forward, contacted Sarah and the transplant coordinator and has now completed months of extensive medical testing. They have just received the incredible news that Suzette is a 100% match to Sarah!! This in itself is a miracle.
Many of us would never even imagine doing something like this for so many different reasons. Suzette has given an immense amount of consideration to what this process means for her life, health, and her two children. She has especially considered what it means to be saving Sarah’s life. Suzette has shown complete support and selflessness throughout this entire journey. She has asked for nothing in return.
With the transplant surgery approaching, I am setting up this page to raise funds as Suzette saves Sarah’s life. Suzette is Sarah’s miracle. Her angel. The money raised will be used to support their post operative care. This could help with meals for them and their families, transportation, medications and any loss of wages etc.
For most of us, financial support will be the closest thing we can do to participate in such an awe inspiring, life-saving story. Please join me in supporting these incredible women as Suzette saves Sarah’s life.
