Suzanne’s Prayer

Have you ever had an unexpected illness hit you or a close family member?

It can be absolutely devastating.   It can be scary.     It can turn your world upside down in one second.

We saw this very thing happen to one of our family members recently.

We are the family and friends of Suzanne DeYoung.

In an attempt to do everything we can to help Suzanne, we have rallied together to create a GoFundMe campaign for her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let us explain.
Suzanne
began to have numbness on her right side and was concerned that she could be having a stroke.
After being admitted to the hospital for testing, it was determined that it was not a stroke but that there was a lesion on her brain.
But what did that mean?
A couple of weeks later, a very risky biopsy was done to determine exactly what this lesion was.  Against all of our prayers, hopes, and wishes, the “C” word was spoken.
Suzanne has a Glioblastoma - a malignant tumor in her brain.   It is pressing on the area of her brain that controls function on her right side.   Also, based on the location of the tumor, the surgeons have determined that it is inoperable.
Suzanne had a lifelong dream to give and help others so she pursued a Nursing career over 30 years ago.
Her desire was to serve all people even greater so she furthered her education to gain her Masters and Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degrees.    And it goes without saying that she incurred a lot of educational debt in the process - $100,000 +...
She served as a nurse and educator of nursing for 26 years.
After this, she felt God’s calling on her life to take a different direction.    She wanted to do something with children and mentor them.    After considering multiple opportunities,  she and her husband, Jeff,  made the huge decision to purchase an established daycare business in their community.
No one said owning your own business was going to be easy.
Suzanne and Jeff quickly found out that the business they had just forged their entire life savings into was less than a stellar investment.    The business quickly became their primary focus where both of them had to work  24/7.       The business began to dictate every area of their life.   They lived and breathed this business just to keep it afloat.
Eventually, due to the business challenges and personnel problems, they made the decision to change whatever necessary to claim back their time and reduce the stress level in their lives.     This is where we find them today with their business, still trying to adjust the sails of the business as the wind of change blows.
And in the middle of this stressful kind of living, Suzanne began feeling numbness on her right side all of a sudden…
Yes, this was the tumor pressing on areas of the brain that controls her right side.
Along with the bills from school, the business, and day to day living, they now have NEW (and not covered by insurance)  MEDICAL BILLS that are stacking up.     The hospital bills, tests, and procedures (pre and post-diagnosis) now total around $100,000.
As of 10/16/19,  Suzanne cannot walk on her own or use her right arm.  She requires around the clock care for help with her very basic needs - little things that we all take for granted every single day.
Due to financial complications for getting approved to start chemo,  she is still waiting for treatments to begin.
Suzanne has personally asked for prayer for a total restoration to her mind and body so that she can return full time to nursing and serve people again.   This has been her passion from the start and where she yearns to return.
How can you help Suzanne?
1 - Partner with us in lifting her up for a miraculous touch from God each day.     God reassures us that intercessory prayer is powerful and effective.
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.  The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."  James 5:16-17
2 - Help her fight this horrific disease by making a contribution to her campaign.
Any donation will greatly help her on the road to recovery.   It will be used to tackle the huge mountain of bills and treatment costs that are before them and to help pay their living expenses so that they can remain in their home.
3 - SHARE this story on your social media so that we can spread the word for prayer and financial support.    It only takes a moment and can make a world of difference for Suzanne.
We are speaking, praying and believing for total healing.     We have faith that God is more than able.    We ask you to do the same for her if you are a believer.
Thank you so much for reading our story and supporting Suzanne & Jeff.     Any contribution is very much appreciated more than you will ever know.
Blessings to you and your family,
Family & Friends of Suzanne & Jeff DeYoung
P.S. - We’ve read that the success of a GoFundMe campaign is all about sharing the story and getting the word “out there”.
So again, please SHARE with your social media world if you would.
Thank you again and Suzanne and Jeff thank you from their hearts.
