Suzanne Arms nonprofit Must Move

After 27 years living and running the nonprofit/charity I founded, Birthing The Future, I am forced to move. My husband's health can no longer tolerate the 7,200 feet altitude in Bayfield, in the southwestern corner of Colorado. It's critical we leave in the next few months.  I'm closing up shop, packing home and office and we're re-locating in Eugene OR, a climate that Bob's lungs will love - and where my naturally curly hair will once again curl!

Birthing The Future's overarching mission is to create informative and inspirational products, events and community that lets people, organizations, and institutions know that we must create a different kind of human being. Up until now, except for a few small indigenous and village cultures in different parts of the world, we've created humans AND societies rooted in fear, defense, aggression and violence.

It is both possible and do-able create individuals, families, communities and entire cultures that thrive because they are rooted in trust, cooperation and high-level wellness.

The secret lies in how we care for childbearing women - and men - and how we bring babies into the world, starting PRE-conception and continuing through the 1st year after birth, and into early childhood.

The principles we must follow are sound because they're based in biology. They are cost effective, evidence-based AND sustainable. But they fly directly in the face of a greed-based capitalism and patriarchal beliefs and systems that, for the past 8,000 years, have attempted to suppress and crush all that is Feminine... including now Earth herself.

At 74, as founder-director of Birthing The Future, I still have the  passion, drive and energy  (and I hope, wisdom), to work with others in creating "primal" conditions and experience that will benefit mothers, babies, fathers, families everywhere... and the well-being of all life on this planet... It starts with connecting the dots between what we've been doing to women and babies and the dismal outcomes we're set in motion - chronic disease, unhappiness, anxiety and violence of all kinds.

Give us just one generation to make the shift... Better than that: just 5% of the population...
