I came to the southeast to set up a small homestead. Nothing fancy, just some chickens and a garden. My friends next door were kind enough to sell me some land and I was able to buy a cabin to be finished out and slowly begin transforming it into a home. When I came here, I had a full-time remote job but couldn't keep it due to being unable to afford fiber-optic installation. Work is scarce here. So now, I am now financially struggling and have been for quite some time. I work 2 days a week, and I have started selling off whatever I can live without so that I can keep a roof over my head.
My faith has kept me going and many have given at my moment of need. But I cannot ask anymore of them. I think we can agree, that times are tough for everyone. Assistance programs cannot help, because I do not qualify. I am not old enough, nor disabled. Starting this fund was very difficult for me. I have no covering as there is no one with me and even though, I have people who lend emotional and prayerful support, it is not the same. It seems that this fund is may be my last resort.
Not knowing what will happen from one month to the next has become stressful. I can't afford to stay any longer.
I need roughly 2500.00 to pay this cabin/shed conversion off. Having this place paid off would remove so much of the burden! And I could at least sell it so that I can move to an area where I can better support myself.
