Hi everyone. This is very difficult for me as I struggle to ask for help when needed but I’m swallowing my pride and asking for help. I unexpectedly lost my job one week ago from today on 9/29. Those that know me know I left my husband in December of 2022 and started my journey as a domestic violence survivor and single mother of 4 beautiful children. These last 2 years have been beautiful but emotionally, financially and mentally draining at times. Raising 4 children on one income seems impossible at times. I do not receive any financial help from my youngest 3 children’s father and have begged the child enforcement agency to do something time and time again with no luck. The abuse doesn’t stop after you leave, abusers will try any way they can to control and for me, that means financially.

If you know me, you know I work very hard to give my children the childhood they deserve despite our circumstances. I have applied to 15-20 jobs and have a couple of interviews lined up, have applied for food assistance, have applied for unemployment, trying to get help with my rent payment for the month. But anyone who has been through something like this, knows it’s all a process and not a guarantee. If you have the means and feel lead to give, I would truly be grateful for any help to get my children and I through this difficult time while I get back on my feet.

I will use this money to help catch up on bills to include rent, utilities, gas, phone bill, food, diapers, baby wipes, child care expenses, etc.
