SUV runs light destroying his wheelchair & work

After being hit by an SUV when in the crosswalk, Roger is left in the hospital, unable to move due to his leg and arm, which are now in a cast, he is also now without what he calls his feet ... the wheelchair!!

Hi, this gofundme is being done for Roger Hernandez (aka El Tieso) and his family. Usually, Roger is described in many different ways like " Inspirational, Professional, Caring, Awesome, Compassionate, Understanding," just to name a few.

One thing is for sure, anybody who has had the privilege of knowing him will quickly tell you that beyond his other great attributes, Roger, without a doubt, is UNSTOPPABLE!

Roger has never let anything stop him from doing things that most people would have given up on, let alone attempted. His list of achievements includes many things, from the birth of his son to the many professional careers he has had. He's been a professional photographer and even a private investigator, to name a few.

Roger has done ALL of these things from the seat of his wheelchair while living with cerebral palsy since birth.

His latest endeavor and means of financial support is being an UberEats Delivery person in Downtown Los Angeles. It didn't take the restaurant workers and customers to see his levels of professionalism and polite charm while being courteous, professional and safe. There is no denying the truth in the fact that he has overcome many obstacles in his life.

Roger was legally crossing in the crosswalk for pedestrians when an SUV coming down the street, ignoring the traffic light, failed to stop. The multi-ton SUV rams into Roger, flinging him 20ft into the street, leaving his 500+ lb Wheelchair mangled and destroyed, sending him to the hospital.

We are asking all who are willing to please donate to help buy Roger a new will chair that will help him once again be the independent, loving man we all know

It's critical to have the right chair that will meet the needs of any person living with cerebral Palsy. In Roger's case, everything from day to day needs to delivering UberEats is done using only his left thumb and index finger. Other than those digits, all other mobility is extremely limited to nonexistent. Now adding to his needs will be the 24-hour care needed as his injuries heal, which the state covers only a portion of as the rest will be out of pocket. So on his own, a proper chair could not be afforded.

Please Help Roger get his life and independence back by help funding the piece of medical equiptment which will make a difference in his life. Be his inspiration and support team as he has been to many others in his life.
