Hi, My name is Mackenzie and I am raising money for my mom, Susy Warren. Susy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January 2022.

 

First off, The most important thing I can ask from all of you is to pray for her. Pray for my Dad as well because he is taking care of her all of the time!

 

I decided to start this go fund me to help my parents pay for the medical bills and help cover some income losses. Susy can hardly work because of what the cancer is doing to her body and therefore isn't receiving as much of an income.

 

Where this money is going:

Our family would love to be together more often during this time but we are all expensive plane tickets away from home. Her lifestyle looks a little different now, and that comes with new expenses to make home more accessible for her. Meal delivery will be an ongoing need so the money could help go towards that as well. As many of you know, medical bills are extremely expensive. Though they have insurance, it comes at a very high deductible which has cost a lot of out of pocket money already. I am asking for financial support on their behalf so they can have peace knowing one part of this long and painful journey is taken care of.

 

As many of you know, My mom is one of the hardest working, kind, and servant hearted people in the world. She did not want to be a burden on anyone and wants to keep social media a positive place…So that is why you probably haven’t seen our family post about her diagnosis.

 

A little bit about the diagnosis: Multiple Myeloma is cancer of the plasma inside the bones for which there is no cure. It occurs most heavily in the vertebrae, chest, hips, and pelvic bones. It hurts to walk around and causes her to feel very weak. She is one strong woman though so when I talk to her on the phone I can hardly tell!

She has already started Chemo and is expected to get a stem cell transplant after this round of Chemo.
