Susu Cruse’s Funeral Memorial

Donation protected
1 month ago our mother Susan “Susu” Cruse fell down which was caused by a heart attack. She had left her phone in her room when this had happened with no way to contact 911 or anyone. She was left alone from 5pm till the next day at noon due to her not picking up the phone to anyone and thinking she was maybe just tired or asleep. Thank God my father had come in town and had me meet him at my mothers house. Unfortunately she had double locked the doors and I had no way in. Calling her back to back she yelled from my old bedroom in the back of the house for help. Luckily the window was open and I was able to call 911. She had hit her head badly that she didn’t even know she fell or what happened. After a week in ICU they sent her home with a nurse and diagnosed her with diabetes and gave her a walker. Everyone was happy it was just diabetes and she had just survived a heart attack after being alone for that long. We thought that was the worst of it. We were wrong... she had been complaining of back pain for a couple years and was in and out of the ER. Every time they said it was nothing to worry about. No scans, no testing and no medication every time. Exactly 1 month later she ended up in the ER for falling and fracturing her lower back. The results were that they found cancer in her lower back. Due to no medical records showing any type of scans or testing no cancer was ever detected in medical records for the past 2 1/2 years. They said she had options of radiation and to wear a back brace for 6 weeks and then discuss radiation treatments. Unfortunately two days later we got the most devastatingly news that was the worst news anyone could ever hear. The doctor said I am sorry after more testing we found a large cancerous tumor that is wrapped around her spine that has been there. They were unable to tell how many years the cancer or tumor was there, but they said all we can do at this point is move her to hospice to make her more comfortable. We originally got a timeframe of her death til April of next year. As the week went by she declined more and more. The doctors kept lowering her time of life she had left. We got our final and last day with her exactly 2 weeks when she entered the ER till her finally day in our lives on Halloween night when en she passed. This has been the hardest thing we had to do in our life. We did this go fund me to help cover the cost of her memorial and funeral cost.  It will be held at the Jewish Community Alliance we will inform you on the date A.S.A.P. Thank you for everyone that loved her. She is now watching over all of us with her love. Although this was completely unexpected for us all we will never forget our mother who made us feel like we were her world and loved us so much.
