This work started from a simple question: what does it actually look like to live in a way that is creative, walkable, and sustainable in the real world, not just as an idea but as a daily practice? Through RTR Holdings and Thee Quad Resorts, I have been exploring that question firsthand by creating and managing spaces where art, community, nature, and hospitality intersect. Over time, this has evolved into more than a property or a business. It has become a living environment for testing how people, systems, and spaces function together. This project is not a traditional business with a finished product. It is an ongoing, real world study of how intentional living environments operate, what works, what breaks, and what can be improved. The goal is to document these findings and refine them over time, creating a foundation for something larger in the future. What inspires this work is the belief that better ways of living already exist. We just have to slow down enough to observe them, understand them, and build on them responsibly.

Funds will go toward both the continued operation and the ongoing study of Thee Quad as a real-world model for creative and sustainable living. This includes materials and supplies such as paint for murals and shared spaces, tools and resources for building small-scale projects like birdhouses and garden elements, and environmental support like bird feed and habitat care. It also includes infrastructure improvements that support long-term sustainability, such as solar lighting, energy-efficient upgrades, and small-scale EV charging solutions that reduce overall energy impact. A large portion of the funding supports research and documentation. This includes tracking energy use and conservation, observing wildlife and habitat interaction, studying walkability and shared space usage, and exploring wellness practices such as sleep quality and outdoor living environments. It also supports programming tied to the AREA and future ROOTS initiatives, where creative output, education, and hands-on projects become part of the ecosystem. Some systems are already in place, and the focus now is on maintaining, studying, and improving them over time so the results can be clearly observed and shared.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to understand what this work is about and what has already been built. That alone means a lot. This isn’t something that exists only as an idea. It’s something that has been lived, tested, and continues to evolve. Your support helps create the space to keep observing, improving, and sharing what comes from it. Whether you choose to contribute, follow along, or simply stay connected, it’s all part of the process. I appreciate you being here and taking the time to see the vision for what it is, not just what it could become.
