The future belongs to those best prepared to create that future today. As we consider the rapid changes taking place all around the globe, we must be attentive to the needs of those who are too often neglected.

Across Sub-Saharan Africa, a significant demographic boom has signaled great changes for these societies in rapid transformation. Through your and my supportive efforts, we take a significant stake in the lives of infants, their mothers, girls' and boys' education, and healthy lifestyle practices that impact all ages and levels of society.

Our continental African communities have been marginalized, dealt with unfairly, exploited, and ignored for too long. We have an opportunity and the motivation to invest in the future that we would wish for these communities. We choose to make a difference in their lives as well as ours.

This future will be determined by collective actions, dispersed across territories, and involving large masses within those nations in transition. Our investments will increase prosperity with families, communities, regions, and countries. We, therefore, become the masters of our fates and captains of our souls.
