Gurdwara Langar Sahib Damdama Nagrasu situated at Uttarakhand will benefit from donations to fund steam cooking appliances for making daily langar. The traditional way of using wooden logs (balan) is no longer viable due to limited supplies and increasing transportation costs due to its breath-taking location. The steam cooker will be a long-term solution and help to serve visitors.

All tourists can benefit from the seva this gurdwara provides for their spiritual journey and we have this opportunity to keep this facility open. There are limited areas for rest and food on the way to Hemkunt and they have done a remarkable job to provide this facility in this jungle area. The journey to Hemkunt can be a difficult one.

The gurdwara is about 3 hours from the end of the journey and was built on the middle of a jungle clearance area. It provides an important resting place for those completing this difficult journey. The costs to fuel the langar via a wood burner etc have become very costly so purchasing the steam machine will really help the food service going forward and reduce costs
