Girls and Renewable Energy and Sustainability
Inspiration for girls to lead in renewable energy and sustainability
Our mission at High5Girls is to empower girls with the skills, knowledge and confidence in STEM to become future problem solvers and leaders.
We organize Camps and Hackathons for girls aged 13-19 to get excited about technology and Entrepreneurial Thinking. The events are fun and always safe (following COVID-19 regulations) and let participants solve stimulating science and engineering challenges.
New Hackathon!
Our aim is to ignite a spark in girls and to motivate them to continue STEM activities at school and beyond. So we’re thrilled to announce that our next workshop will focus on Renewable Energy and Sustainability—the keys to combating challenges like climate change and pandemics.
The girls will engage in activities and learn about technologies that can impact our CO2 footprint. They’ll work with our female STEM mentors while gaining valuable experience thinking like an entrepreneur!
Can you help?
We rely on fundraising to develop hackathons available to everyone and offer girls the chance to use robots, virtual reality and learn to build small-sized wind turbines or solar panels that propel vehicles.
Your support allows us to continue expanding our workshops to serve as many girls as possible. We invite you or your company to please consider making a donation so that all girls can build confidence, have fun, and learn what it means to STEM like a star!
