Susie's Roof Crisis & Health Struggles

My name is Susie, divorced. I’m a Music Teacher and Professional Musician.

I was taken advantage of by my roofing contractor. He cut so many corners on my roof, and with all this recent humid weather, it's causing extreme issues years later.

The roofing contractor is no longer in business and therefore, I cannot sue them.

He did not put proper plywood, no ridge caps for ventilation, causing leak damage inside my house. Now, I need to take the metal roof off, replace plywood, install ridge caps, fix drywall in the bedroom, install a new subroof, install underlayment, re-install the metal roof, clean out and repair gutters, and install flex spouts. I NEED HELP!

I use my house as a business.

I have a credit score of 540, so I cannot get a loan to fix this. I'm trying to supplement my income to find full-time work in this weakened economy to help me with this issue.

I have no family to help; my mom has cancer, so it’s a lot to deal with.

I cry every day and ask God to guide me with this. This issue is causing me physical and emotional stress, and now I have a bleeding ulcer due to stress with this matter.

I have found a licensed contractor and to finally fix all these issues correctly it will cost about $8k, I’m asking help with deposit so I can get this all completed by winter.

Insurance will not cover this as it’s a recurring issue, and I don’t qualify for government programs.
