Susie (my cat) had emergency veterinary care to assess she has kidney disease and will need chronic treatment for quality of life. The vet bill was more than we could afford and more than we anticipated and it's been a highly stressful event.
Me and my partner have both already hit rock bottom mentally and financially. We have been terrified we can't make rent this month as all our money went into the vet bills. There was another $500 initial testing, which my mum is happy to cover. And there will be another consult/blood test in a week. It's all so overwhelming. The vet fees seem exploitative, it's insane.
We almost thought we were going to lose Susie, as the vet pre-emptively had the euthanasia talk. We both have mental health struggles and have been struggling financially, and this has been the hardest year to date.
While we don't ask for much, even just a small contribution helps - anything towards securing our home so we all have a roof over our heads would be much appreciated.
Once I'm earning full time and not required to keep doing two days of unpaid placement (which just seems unethical) I am happy to pay those back who would request it.
We cant stress how helpful it would be to us.
