Susie's Very Important Lung Surgery Fund

So... I'm reaching out for help to raise funds for my upcoming Very Important Lung Surgery in Pittsburgh, Penn. It's a very long trip lasting 18 days. Days 1 and 2 will be for travel (we are driving t make it less expensive and so we can easily take Tippy.) Days 3, 4 and 5 will be tests and scans at the hospital. Days 6 and 7 are the weekend then surgery will be on day 8. I'll spend days 8 through 14 in the hospital because it's a major surgery where they cut my open, crack my sternum, and scrap all the old blood clots out of my lungs. Then day 15 is a Sunday and I'll have a follow up visit to clear me to go home on day 16 then travel home will take day 17 and 18. Insurance covers my surgery and hospital stay but it will not pay for the hotel and food needs of my support system. Because of the magnitude of surgery and y handicapped status now, I have to bring a support person. My best friend from grade school, Melissa Burch will be joining me for this trip as will Tippy Canoe (my service dog) will be coming with to help take care of me. So... if you're feeling lead to, please donate a couple dollars to my cause. I don't currently work because I'm bed bound and the sooner I have enough money to cover our incidentals like travel and lodging, the sooner we can get a surgery date on the books!
