I am starting this fundraiser to help Susie’s family get home to be with Paul.

Susie had passed away yesterday, very unexpectedly. We aren’t sure of the cause yet. Her two daughters and grandchildren are living in Fort Frances, Ontario and will be starting the long drive towards home today and her son will be driving home from Chicoutimi. The travel expenses for 2 adults and 4 children is going to be high with gas, food and hotels.

Also, costs for the funeral and with Christmas just around the corner, it’s just too much to handle for people making minimum wage and trying to get by.

Susie (Nana) was my childhood best friend’s mother, which made her like my second mother and she treated my daughter like one of her own grandchildren. She was such a kind and loving person who always found ways to laugh and have fun. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her and Paul spent all of their time together, it wasn’t often we’d see one without the other and they’ve been married for over 30 years. I am devastated and heart broken for my best friend and her family and I also feel helpless, as there is nothing I can do to take their pain away. Which is why I have this started, to try to help in the only way I can right now, which is try to ease some of the stress for them. Losing someone we love is hard enough, but having to stress about money while grieving is unimaginable. Every dollar is very much appreciated, but if you can’t donate, please share this
