My dear friend, Susie Blackburn (whom many of you know well), lost her home, garage, tack room and everything in them on Monday, June 24th in the Cloverdale fire. Susie was out of town when the fire started and came through her property, everything was lost. We thank God that his army of angels surrounded her precious horse Dawson, her mini KiKi, and her dog Jaxs. Only by His grace did they survive the 30 foot wall of fire that swept through her property.

Although she did have a little insurance it is not anywhere near enough to cover the devastation and loss sustained. She was only out of town for the day and only had her truck with her, everything else is gone. I can’t even imagine the devastation.

Susie is a member of the Back County Horseman and the Shasta County Search and Rescue Team. All of her packing and rescue equipment is gone. She has spent a lifetime of helping others and I wanted to set up a fund so maybe we can give back a little.

I am hoping to raise enough to help with necessities, clothing, furniture, and all the items needed to run a household and continue her volunteer work. In addition, Susie is an appraiser and works from her home office. She lost all of her past and current appraiser jobs and all the documentation needed to operate her business.
