Hi, my name is Kevin and I'm writing on behalf of Bo, Danny, Sun, Hyunseung, Sungkoo for our friend Jin Kim and his family. Kim's family owned and operated Sushi Forest (a Japanese restaurant located in Hawaiian Gardens, CA) for number of years. It was a truly family business with his father as the main chef, his mother as the kitchen manager, and Jin as the manager of the store. Kim's poured their hearts and souls into this business, and it quickly became local's favorite. The restaurant not only served delicious sushi, but it served joy and happiness to all who came.

This restaurant, unfortunately, was caught on fire for an undetermined reason on the night of 2/9/23. With so many unanswered questions and confusion, we want to help Jin and his family through this fundraiser. If you have been to this restaurant and enjoyed the experience; if you know the owners and the staff members, please consider donating so that they will have some comfort and build safety net as they sort out this circumstance.
