My name is Susan, and I never thought I’d be in this position — asking for help just to keep my home and my independence. I’ve lived in my home for over 25 years, long before I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. It’s not just a house — it’s my safe place, my comfort, and the one piece of stability I’ve held onto through everything.
But right now, everything is slipping away. My power wheelchair, the only way I can move or take care of myself, broke down in September 2024, and since then, I’ve been bedridden. Without it, I’ve lost the ability to do even the simplest things — get to the kitchen, go outside, or take care of basic needs.
At the same time, the bank is threatening to take my home if I can’t come up with the funds by the end of this month. Losing it would mean being forced into a shelter, which simply isn’t an option with my disability. I need accessible housing and medical stability — things a shelter can’t provide.
I’ve tried to stay strong, to hold on to hope, but the truth is, I can’t do this alone anymore. I’m asking for help to raise enough money to replace my wheelchair and save my home before it’s too late.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to having a chance — a chance to move again, to stay safe, and to rebuild a little bit of the life I’ve been fighting to keep. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page means the world too.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for caring, and for helping me hold onto hope when things feel impossible.
All funds received from this Go Fund Me go directly to Ms. Susan.
