Please Help Susan Sammarco with Medical Costs
In early March, Susan Sammarco experienced a deadly heart condition. Knocked low by flu and struggling health, she ended up in the hospital.
Her heart, pumping at a mere 10%, isn't strong enough to attempt some of the recommended procedures. Further, a blood clot was discovered in her heart.
At this time, Susan is weak, but still smiling and living under hospice care. We ask for your help to support her health care in whatever way you are able.
We are Her Sons
My mother means the world to my brother and me. The fact that we do not live in the same state as she pains us. We are not there to care for her, and it is very difficult to come to terms with.
My mother does not have a retirement account. She spent that money on friends, family, and memories after bypass surgery seven years ago. Since that surgery, she always opted to live and experience the vibrance of the world around her.
Standardized Social Security payments, stubbornly low in an expensive economy, have limited her access to healthcare and ability to care for herself properly.
