Susan's Road to Breathing again

Hi, this is Brooke & Kayla we are the daughters of Susan Duhr. Since Oct of 2019 our mom has been diagnosed with Interstial Lung Disease. For those non-medical this is a disease where scar tissue in the lungs builds up until your lungs fail. We don't know the cause of this disease as our mom has never smoked or have genetic history of this. We are at this point now in this journey. There is no cure for this disease. The only road to prolonged life is a lung transplant. We are there now!!!

Our mom the past 2 months has completed all the tests to see if she is a candidate for a lung transplant. This Monday her case went in front of the medical board. Tuesday she got the call that she will be listed for a single lung transplant. We are all hopeful and scared as well. We know her road to recovery is going to be long and the next steps in the transplant are going to be even longer. Now we wait for the most important call.

Once our mom gets the call she will be at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston for a month minimum and have to temporarily relocate for 3 months to Houston to be near the hospital.

This is where you come in, first and foremost we ask that you pray for our mom for healing, and peace and overall that Jesus will be with her in every step of this process. Secondly, if you are able, consider helping out financially as all donations will be used for travel expenses, extended stay in Houston after release from the hospital, and meals for our mom and caregiver while in Houston.
