Susan’s new heart.

As some of you may know, in the last leg of her pregnancy with her first child, Susan developed a condition which has led to almost complete heart failure. Stevie Siegenthaler was born December 26th 2022. She came via emergency c-section that was performed as Susan’s heart function continued to steadily decrease. By what seems like a miracle, both Susan and Stevie survived the birth and Stevie is happy and healthy. Susan, unfortunately, is in critical care at UW Health and has been since early December. After efforts so large, dozens and dozens of tests, medication, external aids and a team of the best doctors in the nation, there has been no increase in heart function and Susan’s condition is not life sustaining. The next step for her and her family is to begin the heart transplant process. This is strenuous, exhausting and financially unbearable. We have put together this go fund me in an attempt to help supplement Kiel, Susan, and newborn Stevie as they continue this journey to health. Susan will be out of work for over a year and Kiel will have to balance work and be the sole caregiver for little Stevie as Susan is unable to be home. If you are able to donate, it is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. If not, we still appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers as this journey has been devastating and unfortunately far from over.
