Susan's Education: Faith in Action

❤️From a House of Worship to a Campus of Dreams: Susan's Journey of Faith

Susan (Zhishan) Guan grew up in a home filled with music, love, and the presence of God. Her father played guitar in church and brought that same spirit of worship into their home. Her mother served faithfully in children’s ministry. Every day, their house was filled with the sound of instruments, singing, prayer, and Scripture reading. It was a home where faith wasn’t just practiced—it was lived.

Their church family often said, “This is a truly blessed home.”

But even the most faithful homes face storms.

⚡️ A Sudden Storm

In 2017, after four years of prayer and seeking God’s will, Susan’s parents made a bold and dangerous decision. They sent her to a Christian underground school in China—illegal but essential, they believed, for Susan to grow in her faith. Despite increasing financial strain, they pressed on in faith, trusting God every step of the way.

Then, in 2021, tragedy struck. Susan’s father was diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer. He had to stop working immediately, and the family lost its main source of income. But instead of falling apart, this family grew stronger. They never stopped praying or worshiping. Visitors were often amazed: “They’re facing loss, yet their joy remains.”

On his deathbed, Susan’s father said to her mother:

I may not have shared the gospel with many people, and I regret that. But you and Susan believing in Jesus—that is my greatest joy. I know God will use you both to lead others to Him.

⭐️ A Door Only God Could Open

In 2021, while grieving and still facing financial hardship, Susan received a divine opportunity: she was accepted into Bob Jones University in the U.S. to study Studio Art. Her heart was set on using her artistic gifts to share the gospel and bring hope through her work.

She followed God’s leading, received her visa, and arrived in the U.S. in August 2022 to begin her studies.
However, in March of her second year away from home, her father went to be with the Lord.

Her mother, now alone, committed herself fully to church ministry and spent two years studying theology in China. Today, she earns just $400 a month—barely enough for basic needs, let alone international tuition.

Susan still has one year left to complete her degree. She’s determined to finish well—not for her own success, but to honor her father’s words, and to use her art to glorify God and bless others.

A Critical Moment—You Can Be Part of Her Story

Susan now faces a challenge that she cannot overcome alone:
She needs to raise $30,000 USD by August 5 to continue her education.

This isn’t just about tuition.
It’s about a young woman faithfully following God’s calling.
It’s about finishing a journey that began with bold obedience.
It’s about fulfilling a father’s final wish.✝️

And you have the opportunity to be part of it.

Your Gift Will Make an Eternal Difference:
