Our good friend and neighborhood dog walker, Susanne Favella, was recently hit by a car while riding her bike FOR THE SECOND TIME! She was crossing Broadway when a driver came out of nowhere and smashed her. Fortunately the driver swerved at the very last second, or she might not be with us today. But she took a hard hit on her right side, knocking her to the concrete. She also hit her head on the car and/or the ground, knocking her helmet off. The hit to her side re aggravated a previous injury that left her with a torn tendon and took about 8 weeks to heal. Her head injuries left her with a concussion, and she’s been struggling with short term memory loss since the accident. She’s back home now, and recovering. But she doesn’t have insurance, and isn’t going to be able to walk dogs until she’s fully healed. She really needs some help not only to cover medical and lawyer expenses, but to cover her loss of income during her recovery period so she can pay rent and buy food. She’s definitely going to be out of work for a few weeks, but is estimating needing about a months worth of lost income. Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated, and I honestly can’t think of a more deserving person. Thank you! ❤️
