The Lord has laid on my heart to set up a go-fund-me account for a very close friend of mine who was diagnosed with breast cancer three weeks ago, Susanna Doyel Saulog.
Susanna and I met while we were both teaching at Faith Baptist Schools in Canoga Park, CA, and we became instant and close friends.
Susanna taught at Faith Baptist for ten years, and it was during that time that she met her husband, Clarence. The two have followed the Lord in their marriage, and they are now parents of five very precious little children starting with the oldest, Annabelle who is eight years old, down to little Jack who is two years old. A year and a half ago, Clarence accepted a pastorate in Oxnard, CA, at the Lord’s leading, and that is where they are now serving.
After the diagnosis, and after much prayer and counsel, Susanna and Clarence have chosen to receive treatment at a facility in Mexico that specializes in nutrition and alternative treatments for cancer. Susanna will be at the facility for three weeks, where she will then be released to continue treatment for the next three months from home, followed by another week of treatment in Mexico and possible surgery.
When I approached Susanna with the idea of starting a go-fund-me, she was humbled and grateful, and she expressed that she could never ask for that to be done for her. It’s difficult to ask for help, but I knew there would be people, who out of love for Susanna and her family, would want to help.
If you have a specific question about cost, I would love if you messaged me. Otherwise, I am so certain that any support would relieve some of the financial burden and be a huge demonstration of love to Susanna, Clarence, and their children. We know God will provide as only He can! Above all, I know the Saulogs would covet your prayers.
