Help bring Susan Medeiros home to Hawaii
Donation protected
Susan was a force to be reckoned with. She raised two children alone while going to recruit school for the Honolulu Police Department. When Susan became a police officer, she knew that was her calling. In her 30 year career, she was promoted to FTO (Field Training Officer), moved to Detective, Undercover, and eventually became a Sergeant. She loved taking recruits under her wing, it made her feel like a mama bear. She was a wonderful mom. She moved to Las Vegas to be with me, her youngest daughter, and her grandson, Kruz. Here she bought a home with her husband, Bode and planted roots. Already a breast cancer survivor, she was given the heart-wrenching news of being diagnosed with Lung Cancer. She fought it, though. She fought like hell, removing a third of her lung. Thyroid cancer was next, and she had surgery, radiation, and chemo to fight that. She was CANCER FREE in March of 2022 when her breathing was hindered. She lost all taste for food and dwindled to a frail frame. Yet, she still loved everyone and loved life. She was taken to the hospital on Memorial Day weekend to FIGHT. The fight, however, was too much for her body to take, and on June 9, 2022, she went home to heaven.
Here is where we, as a family, humbly ask for your support in bringing Susan home, from Vegas to Hawaii to be laid to rest. Unfortunately, the costs have been rising, and it's too much for us to bare alone, as her death was unexpected. However, with the support of our community, we can bring Susan home to Hawaii, where she will spend her eternal slumber.
This money will be used for her funeral costs including her transport from Palm Mortuary to Hawaii, her service at Valley of the Temple, and her burial at Hawaii Memorial.
If you would like to attend the funeral, it will be on July 25th at Valley of the Temples at 10:30am.
