Saskatoon pit bull attack - victim fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi, I’m one of many community members and neighbours who have put their love and support behind Susan after a terrible event happened to her and her sweet dog, Ryder, on Dufferin and 6th Street on Thursday, May 15th in Saskatoon. While Susan was walking her dog, Ryder, they were viciously attacked by 3 loose pit bulls resulting in injury to Susan and the violent death of her beloved dog, Ryder.
Susan was pulled down to the ground and bitten on her hand while she tried to protect Ryder, who was terribly attacked. The 3 pitt bulls had escaped from their yard one block down the street (which has happened previously, according to neighbours in the area) and had ran full speed at Susan and Ryder, she was not able to find safety. Neighbours did as much as they could to pull the dogs off of Ryder but were unable to. This is a neighbourhood where many people, including children are regularly walking dogs.
Susan and her partner took Ryder to the emergency vet clinic immediately but Ryder’s injuries were too much and he had to be put down.
Proceeds from this GoFundMe are to help the family with the cost of vet bills and cremation services as well as legal bills involved in holding the owners accountable. The family is not in a financial position to pay for these expenses. While there is no amount of money that will bring Ryder back, it will help with the financial burden.
Susan is grateful to everyone who has reached out and shown support, this has been very hard for her and her partner- unable to have children, Ryder was like their child. To loose him this way has been devastating. Thank you for your support.
