Susan Ward's Covid-19 Hospital Expenses
Donation protected
Susan Ward is an assistant at the Nampa School District Family Community Resource Centers. She spends her days helping families make sure they have food, clothes, and a place to live. She loves her students so much and often spends her own time and money to help them. Unfortunately, her job placed her in an active community setting, which caused her to get Covid-19-despite being fully vaccinated.
My mom, Susan, was admitted to the hospital on the morning of Monday, September 27th. When she arrived at the ER, they discovered that not only did she have Covid-19, but her blood pressure was low, her oxygen was around 80% and one of her kidneys had slowly started to stop working. She was immediately admitted to the ICU. After lots of medication and oxygen therapy, they were able to get her more stable.
As of lunch time on Wednesday, September 29, she had been moved from the ICU to another part of the hospital. The medical team was happy to share that she is making progress, but told us that it will continue to be slow moving. The funds from this GoFundMe page will be used to help pay medical bills and expenses that will come from her stay in the hospital. We would love for her to be able to eventually come home, when she is ready, and to have time to heal with little stress. Knowing that some of her expenses are paid for will help her relax and take the time she needs to heal!
