Hi everyone, I want to help raise funds for my closest friend Evan Schaben who's stuck in the hospital with a Traumatic Brain Injury, fractured cheekbone and road rash over his entire body. Evan came to Kauai to support my family and me as we honored the life of my brother Stephen Broadus who was in a tragic accident on 17 April 2022 and later passed on 23 April 2022 from a Traumatic Brain Injury. Evan knew how much my brother meant to me and traveled on his own to Kauai to meet my family and me and be there to honor my brother's life and support my family. On the last day of this trip in Kauai, Evan and I were riding mopeds around the island; when he hit a pothole sending him flying off his bike, he was immediately rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Doctors say his helmet saved his life; however, due to the severity of Evans's injuries, he was medevaced to Oahu the following day, where he's been resting in the ICU. Doctors say he has a long road to recovery, but since he's so young, they expect good results. He's been estimated to spend two more weeks in the hospital, followed by a minimum of one month in a rehabilitation facility here in Cali. The transportation cost back to Cali is expected to exceed more than 20k due to his medical condition and requirements for a nurse and special transport. There will also be medical bills, air ambulance, regular ambulance, medical bills, and weeks of rehabilitation. The Family is also unable to work due to the situation and must stay in Hawaii to support Evan, who is otherwise alone. All proceeds will go directly to pay medical costs and support Evan’s recovery and his family
