Please allow me to take a moment and introduce the most beautiful hearted soul I have the pleasure of knowing. 
Susan Hensley has been my girls piano teacher for the past 3 years. It is said that "nobody can inspire us like great teachers can". This quote couldn't be applied to a more deserving teacher.
Susan has given my girls such a beautiful gift. Not only the gift of music, but also the gift of the most pleasant memories. "A life-long blessing for children is to fill them with warm memories". Every session, Susan would lovingly prepare tea and treats for Reece and Ryland's piano lessons. Their weekly lesson soon became an exciting ritual the girls could hardly wait for (it is not always easy keeping your children engaged in lessons, practises etc. as any parent could attest to however, Susan found a way).
My girls also quickly developed an affinity for public speaking! They would M.C the concerts, alongside Susan and found joy in her quirky, witty jokes.
I feel it is now our turn to return the love she provided to us.
On January 27th, after an emotional, and painful wait Susan received some devastating news.
After weeks of suffering with excruciating and debilitating abdominal pains, Susan checked into SouthLake Hospital where she underwent massive surgery. The biopsy results revealed that Susan has a rare cancer that is difficult to treat and they were not able to remove all of it.
Susan is now faced with the toughest battle she may ever face in life.
She is now receiving a radical treatment that will completely suppress her immune system. Due to this treatment she is unable to work.
Susan is a loving, single mother of two teenage boys. She has two businesses that she will not be able to tend to.
Susan could use your help covering her daily living expenses, and her medications (which are a costly $7000/per month for an unknown amount of time).
Our hope is to allow Susan the comfort to focus solely on her healing and recovery.
