My name is Susan, aka Pickled Tink, and I am reaching out for help to regain my independence. After experiencing many falls that resulted in hospitalizations and surgeries, I am now unable to walk without supportive devices like walkers and crutches. Everyday activities that many people take for granted, such as grocery shopping or enjoying fun outings with my sons, have become nearly impossible for me. The simple act of leaving the house is a challenge, and I often have to miss out on special moments with my family, like going to hockey games with my boys, because walking is just too difficult.
Having an electric mobility scooter would be truly life-changing for me. It would allow me to leave the house on my own for important things like doctor’s appointments or trips to the grocery store, without having to schedule everything around my children’s busy lives. With a scooter, I could regain some of the freedom and independence I’ve lost, and participate more fully in life with my family.
I am deeply grateful to anyone who is able to help with the cost of a mobility scooter. Unfortunately, Social Security just doesn’t leave much room for such a purchase, so any support means the world to me. Thank you so much to anyone who is able to help—I appreciate your kindness more than words can say.
