Susan Nance, "Grandma Sue" as I always called her, was also a loving, mom, sister, daughter, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at home August 28th 2025 listening to the cool summer morning rain which she loved so much.
She was born to Pierre and Signa Conner on November 15th 1954 in Palo Alto, California & was the youngest of 5 siblings. She was also the last living sibling in her family, including both of her parents. In her last year of high school her family moved to Washington state where she has made her home ever since.
Grandma worked for Fluke and took an early medical retirement after 30 years of hard work. She bought a home in Marysville, was a single mother to her daughter Sarah, and later stepped up and adopted 3 of her grandchildren.
Truly everyone who knew Grandma Sue loved her. She knew how to love without judgement, she loved her family, she loved her friends, she had a special love for her pets, and for her garden that she took pride in and watered every day. She was always there when you needed anything. She taught us all the power of a good hug and gave the best hugs herself.
Her passing was sudden and unexpected, and there is much uncertainty at this time, right now my mother and I want to make sure we have the funds to settle her affairs, care for her remains, and have a send off as she would have wanted it, we are grateful for any and all donations, even if you can't donate grandma sue would appreciate prayers for her family in these trying times.
The viewing is Wednesday September 3rd 2025 at 4:00pm at the American Cremation & Casket Alliance in Stanwood.
Later service TBD
