Memorial bench for Susan Connett

As many of you will know, Susan was loved by anyone who met her. She was an amazing mum to her 3 children and the best nana to all of her grandchildren.

On 29th October she finally lost her long battle with cancer and passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Susan adored living in Compstall and she regularly visited Etherow Park as this was one of her favourite places.

The family have decided that we’d love to keep the connection to the village by purchasing a memorial bench to have inside the park so that anyone can visit, lay some flowers and remember her.

We would be so grateful if anyone could donate towards the cost of the bench, instead of buying flowers for her funeral as this will mean so much to the family.

The total cost of the bench is £1255 plus VAT so I’ve set a target of £1500 but anything extra will be donated to charity.

For anyone wishing to attend the funeral, a service will be held on Friday 24th November at The Rowan Chapel (Stockport Crematorium) at 1pm. Further details of the wake afterwards will be shared when they have been arranged.
