Susan & Carl Lane Family Fire

I have known the Lane’s more than half of my life. Susan and Carl introduced a few of their homeschooled children to 4-H, where they were introduced to my family. I was one of Jessica’s first friends in Missouri since they moved here from San Diego, California. We quickly became the best of friends. I saw firsthand how hardworking and selfless her parents are. We grew up running on the hardwood floors of their three story home that lost the fight to a vicious fire the night of 12/19/2020. The fire took the lives of Susan and Carl’s oldest Son, Dwayne, along with Susan’s father. Their daughter, Stacey Harris,  and her four children were living with them temporarily. They made it out unharmed by the help of Dwayne. Carl suffered 2nd degree burns. Everything else succumbed to the flames. The whole family lost all of the Christmas gifts under their tree. Just less than a week before Christmas. 

I am setting up this fundraiser to help lighten this load, even if it’s minimal. If it helps to replenish just a couple Christmas gifts for the kids, or new shoes for them, it is worth typing this. Please help to bless this grieving family this holiday season.
