SUSA – A Safe Future for Koh Phangan’s Stray Animals
For years, Pinon and a small group of volunteers have cared for Koh Phangan’s stray animals. Every day, they feed over 300 dogs and cats, rescue the injured, organise medical care, and prepare animals for adoption.
SUSA is an officially registered animal welfare organisation in Thailand — fully volunteer-run. What is missing is a permanent shelter.
Thai law requires 500,000 THB (approx. €15,000) in start-up capital to legally build and operate a shelter. Without it, long-term safety for the most vulnerable animals is not possible.
Recently, we lost Blue, a former street dog who found love and care with us but passed away due to damage caused by years of survival on the streets. His story reminds us why this shelter is so urgently needed.
We are raising funds to build a sanctuary and clinic — a safe place for the old, injured, and unwanted.
For Blue.
For every unseen animal of Koh Phangan.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting us in giving these animals a future.
