This Go Fund Me fundraiser has been set-up for Surya Prakash Rao (Surya) Gooturu family.
On the 5th of September, we lost a very valued friend , Surya. The sudden demise was the result of COVID-19 has left all of us in a deep shock. He was first diagnosed with COVID on August 21st 2020 . Doctors suggested it as a mild case and recommended him to do home quarantine. But after 4 days he had issue taking breath and had to be hospitalized . After that everything happened so fast and the doctors were not able to contain the virus which led to complete failure of his lungs.
Surya's (48) untimely and sudden demise has left his family in need of immediate financial assistance. He was the sole bread earner for the family - Wife Mrs. Rajeshwari (41), Son Bharath (14) and Mother Laxmi (65) .These funds would go towards helping his family - especially for his 14 year old son Bharat’s future and temporarily meeting their expenses.
Surya was a loving husband and caring father and an amazing friend who doesn’t hesitate for a second to help a person in need. He has wholeheartedly helped many migrant workers with food when India was under complete lock down due COVID.
Surya was working in USA on H1b visa for J.Knipper and Company Limited located in Somerset, NJ till end of 2018. Later he relocated along with his family to India to take care of his sick mother.
My name is Naga Sreenu Yedlapalli and I’m the close friend of Surya. I’m organizing this through friends and family to raise funds to support Surya's family. Surya’s wife, Mrs. Rajeshwari will be the sole beneficiary of this fundraiser. The funds raised will go towards the educational expenses of son Bharath and temporarily meeting the family's financial needs going forward as Surya was the only earning member in the family. To ensure that all funds from this campaign go directly to the family, Mrs. Rajeshwari Gooturu has been added as the beneficiary.
